Through The Dark Below

Aileen Killough

We flew through the passages below the world. And the rocks chased us through those tunnels. Flying like angry birds at our heads. I don't know how we escaped. I just know Cunung stopped them somehow. I don't know how he made it to us. He had a way.

In the quiet hamlet of Riverview, childhood games and whispered legends fill long summer evenings until the day Aileen vanishes. Taken by shadowy Mehr. Carried into The Dark Below, her fate seems sealed. Refusing to abandon his sister, Gregor recruits his best friend Baldwin and they set out on a desperate journey to bring her home. Aided by a mysterious soldier named Cunung, what begins as a daring rescue soon reveals a world far older and more dangerous than they ever imagined, one where forgotten wars, ancient songs, and long-hidden powers are beginning to stir once more.

  • The first trilogy in the Songweaver's Tale series
  • Introduces Aileen, Baldwin, Gregor. We follow their first descent toward The Dark Below and their rise from its depths.

Provenance

A beautifully illuminated manuscript held within the Long Memory, the great archive of the Order of the Rising Dawn. It is heavy and filled with tales from a previous age. The voice of the writings seems strangely... familiar?

Curator's Notes

Received in good condition. The binding is strong. This copy has been handled with care by whoever kept it before us. The illuminations on the chapter openings are exceptional. Whoever rendered them knew the faces. The pages carry a faint smell of woodsmoke and something floral we could not identify. Catalogued without incident. Cleared for the Reliquary.

The relic will find its way to you. Questions about the vow or the passage of your relic may be directed to the Study.
